(from Sports Illustrated)
Today in CapeTown South Africa FIFA announced the draw for the 2010 World Cup. Our chances of coming out of Group C as the winners or 2nd place are quite good. Our group mates are England, Algeria, and Slovenia. We beat England in the 1950 World Cup but have not played either Algeria or Slovenia. We are currently ranked #14 in the world. Power house teams such as Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina, and Spain no longer take us as push overs. Several players from the US National Team play in England, Portugal, and Germany. Our Players have the experience, talent, and knowledge of how to play with the goliaths of soccer. I give my predicitions later next year, but as of today, I am sure USA team are pleased with the outcome of the draw.
