Happy Thanksgiving to all! We all have lots to be thankful on Thursday- turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pecan pie, family&friends, and most importantly Football! This year we are treated to 3 decent games: The Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys, and the NY Giants vs. Denver Broncos. Most of the time the Detroit game is kind of a snooze fest - it is the "tryptophan" game of the day. Luckily the Lions won this past Sunday and will have a little bit more confidence going into the game. Having said that, they will need more than luck if they expect to beat the Packers. Here are my predictions for the turkey day games:
Green Bay will have a tougher time beating the Lions than expected. If rookie Quarterback Matthew Stafford cant
play due to injuring his left shoulder against the Browns, Daunte Culpepper will play and might surprise peo
ple. In the end, the Packers are playing for a spot in the playoffs and that will compel them to win 24 -17.
vs
The Cowboys have only scored 14 points the past two games, but Tony Romo and the offense will wake up and ensure Cowboy fans all across the country will have plenty of chances to cheer after scoring multiple touchdowns. Cowboys 31- 14.
This is a tough game for the Giants. The both teams used to be the best in their respective divisions earlier in the season but not anymore. They are still in the thick of the playoff race and need to win. The loser might not make the post season with a loss. This will be the most competitive game out of the 3 so be sure to stay awake so you don't miss the game. Broncos will win a close one 28- 24.
