If I were Dr. Frankenstein and decided to build the Ultimate Dallas Cowboy by using both tangible (physical) and intangible parts (desire, charisma, leadership) of current and past players, ( apologies to newest Dallas Cowboy NFL Hall of Fame enshrinee " Bullet " Bob Hayes I would need to borrow his fleet feet) this behemoth of man would make one hell of a NFL specimen.
Let's start with the head. Being a mad scientist, my ultimate Cowboy would have to be a 2 headed monster. I could not decide on just one person who would be the face of my monster so I choose two Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman.
Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman were among the best at their positions during their eras. Staubach's competitive nature, athletic scrambling abilities, and never say die attitude brought him the nicknames " Captain America, Roger the Dodger, and Captain Comeback." Aikman's unprecedented throwing accuracy and his arm strength was second to none and also was a perfectionist. If he nor any teammate was imperfect he would get upset at himself and his team mates. Both had remarkable leadership skills and inspired those around them to be better players which has lead to the Cowboys winning 5 Super bowls. I would have to let Aikman do all the interviews as a spokesman though as he has shown to be very articulate, intelligent, and charismatic after retiring and being a part of Fox's #1 NFL game day announcing team.
The Torso :
Terrell Owens would be the ideal candidate. He is lean and muscular and is known for his unparalleled commitment to being fit. He has had only a few injuries during his career which leads us to believe he takes care of his body.
Right Arm : Once again I have to borrow from Troy Aikman. I just do not think there has been anyone as accurate throwing the football the past 20 years and had as much zip as touch to his throws.
Hands :
This is one of the toughest choices to make but ultimately I have to go with Michael Irvin. Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Butch Johnson, Jay Novacek, Jason Witten all have great hands but I would trust Irvin the most to catch the game winning touchdown in the Superbowl.
Along with 2 heads my Ultimate Dallas Cowboy offensive player needs three legs and. ( and no the RD leg is not what you are thinking)
Herschel Walker's speed. Tony Dorsett's quickness and burst. Emmitt Smith's workhorse abilities. 'Nuff said.
Next week I'll dig up my Ultimate Dallas Cowboys Defensive Player
